DSN
Description
DSN,
which stands for data source name, is a method of connecting to a
database via ODBC.
All DSN
connections require ODBC - an open standard for API for accessing
databases.
DSN-s
are generally created by the end-user or technician. DSN can be created
via program called ODBC administrator.
This
program can be invoked thru Control Panel or by clicking on a "New DSN"
button in HDS1504 ODBC connection wizard.
To setup
HDS1504 to use DSN connection, click on a radio button labeled "User
defined DSN".

If the
DSN is not already created, click on a button labelled "New DSN".
After new
DSN is created, select it from the "drop down" list of available DSN-s and
click on a "NEXT" button.
